In 1996 she made her first appearance in film with a minor part as a minor character in Girl 6. She then was seen on New York Undercover episodes and The District. Navedo appeared as a character in Double Take, an action-comedy film that debuted in 2001. The drama Washington Heights was released the following year. Navedo was a part of NBC's crime drama Law & Order for a regular role as the detective Ana Cordova between 2001 and 2004. The character was later featured as a character in Law & Order: Criminal Intent Damages, Blue Bloods, and Blue Bloods. Navedo played in a range of movies, such as El Cantante (The Cantante) as well as Remember Me. Navedo is also one of the regular characters on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011-2013) as well as How to Make It in America Golden Boy. Superfast! is a film where Navedo was the lead.
